Who Am I
Stolen Moments is the second episode in Season 6, and 112th overall.
Recent revelations force Damon to make an emotional confrontation with June. Stefan discovers that Inari is in town, but has hard time convincing others. Upon Tatia's request, Misao tries to use her connection with Bonnie in order to contact her and warn her and others about Inari, but has a hard time in doing so because Bonnie is grown stronger and shut all her ways to Misao. Meanwhile Bonnie's father finds out more about the supernatural world. Recent changes with Elena cause a difference of opinions in the house. Finally, the gang makes their first confrontation with Inari.
|Misao was sitting alone at the center of the room and concentrating. A weird Bonnie voice was echoing in the room or in Misao's brain, while Misao was clearly putting a lot of power in whatever she is doing.
Suddenly the door opened and Tatia walked in. Then she went near Misao. Misao opened her eyes.
Tatia: "Did it work?"
Misao: "No." (stood up and faced Tatia)
Misao: "She's not the same Bonnie anymore. She's grown stronger, more powerful. And her Dark Dimension experience allowed her to realize the peak of her strength."
Misao: "So, I may never be able to contact her. Unless she allows me to. She's shut all my ways to her."
Tatia: (exhaled nervously) "What if we're too late?"
Misao: "We're not. Kitsune magic is different than witch magic. Us being on different dimensions doesn't matter, we were bonded by my magic and I'm still connected to her. I'd know if something happened to her." (after a brief silence) "But what makes me anxious is if Inari didn't make her move until now, she'll do it pretty soon and it'll be big." (looked at Tatia) "And I don't know how to warn them."
Tatia: (after a moment of silence, she took off her necklace and offered it to Misao) "Take this." (Misao was confused) "The spell it holds gives the person who wears it magic. Witch magic. Combine that with yours, you may be able to reach out to Bonnie."
Misao: (smiled barely) "You must be pretty desperate."
Tatia: "Elena is my child, Misao. I must do whatever I can to protect her. And this is all can."
Misao knew Tatia really meant it, and she was touched by her compassion. After looking at each other silently for a while, Misao slowly took the necklace.
Misao: "I'll see what I can."
Tatia: "Thank you."
Misao nodded, meaning "You're welcome", then Tatia turned around and left the room. After she went, Misao sat again and started the spell. The necklace was showing it's effect clearly. Misao's spell was way more powerful.
Bonnie was sleeping in her bed when she started hearing indistinct voices in her head. Then the voices became louder and more clear. Someone was calling her name. Bonnie woke up in fear.
June: "This is ridiculous."
Damon: "Well, it was your mess that got me here, so I will make sure you do everything right before I see the principal."
June: "You don't even know why she called you, maybe it's just for coffee."
Damon: "Then you have nothing to worry about." (made June look at him) "Do you?"
Damon: "Good." (by that time they had arrived to June's class) "Now be a good girl, and pull that quiz off."
June: (after taking a quick look at the class) "Can't you at least talk him into doing it tomorrow? I barely checked the book."
Damon: "Then you'll do better in the next one. Now go."
Then he gently pushed her into the class. June scoffed, and walked inside. After that Damon went to see the principal. He knocked the door and opened it.
Damon: "Damon Salvatore, June Flemming's legal guardian. You called me this morning?"
Principal: "Yes, Mr. Salvatore. Please come in." (he entered and they shook hands) "I wasn't really expecting you this soon, but I guess it's better."
Damon: "That's what I thought. What's up?" (he sat to the chair)
Principal: (after quickly checking some papers) "June has been skipping some classes."
Damon: (with disappointment and disbelief) "No!"
Principal: "I'm sorry. She didn't even enter any of her lessons on Tuesday."
Damon: (looked around for a few seconds) "I'll talk to her."
Principal: "You're gonna have to do a lot more than that." (while checking some other papers) "I understand that June lacks a father figure in her life."
Damon: "I'm trying to be more like a brother to her."
Principal: (nodded) "And I understand that June had a very complicated summer."
Damon: "What do you mean?"
Principal: "Over the three months she changed four legal guardians. First it was Elena Gilbert. Then it was Bonnie Bennett. Then Carol Lockwood. And finally, it was you."
Damon: (chuckled nervously) "I know it seems messed up." (principal nodded while rolling her eyes, meaning "it does") "But actually there is a really good explanation for that."
Principal: "There is?"
Damon: "But I can't have you know that."
Principal: "Look, Mr. Salvatore. I trust that we both want what's best for June."
Damon: "That's correct."
Principal: "And since you are not her relative, honestly I don't find you suitable to be her legal guardian."
Damon: "What, are you implying something?"
Principal: (gave Damon a paper) "Here is Sheriff Carson and Doctor Fell's reports, making it official that Elena Gilbert had a twin sister, who was given for adoption after her birth."
Damon: (without looking at the paper, with utter surprise) "Katherine Pierce?"
Principal: "So you know her. Then you also know that she is also June's cousin, and I personally find her more suitable."
Damon: "Listen, she didn't want her. Said she can't take such responsibility. That's why I stepped in."
Principal: "Is there any way I can talk to her in person?"
Damon: "What for?"
Principal: "To convince her."
Damon: "She's not gonna want her anyway."
Principal: "I'm afraid I'm gonna have to insist."
Damon: "She left town, and no one knows her phone number."
Principal: "Then I'll be forced to call social services for a foster family. June clearly needs an authority figure, and you don't strike me as a person who is cut out for such role."
Damon: (felt a lump in his throat, and gulped, while trying to smile) "That won't be necessary."
Principal: (with a threatening manner) "If I'm convinced that you cannot make June attend to her classes, that will be necessary."
Damon and principal looked at each other for a while. Then Damon smiled nervously.
Bonnie: "Dad, I'm going out."
He called from the living room.
Bonnie: "Got some stuff to do. I'll be late, don't wait up."
Father: "Wait a minute!" (he turned off the TV and quickly came to door where Bonnie was) "We need to talk."
Father: "Okay, I need to talk. But I also need you to talk to me."
Bonnie: "About what?"
Father: "About those things out there."
Bonnie: "Dad, I don't have much time."
Father: "Then make some time, I'm freaking out here!"
Bonnie: (took a deep breath, then took off her jacket) "What do you wanna know?"
Father: "You asked me to take vervain everyday, and you told me not to invite anyone in. I wanna know what's that for."
Father: "It's clearly not for witches, as you can enter everywhere without invitation, and vervain doesn't effect you. So what is it?"
Bonnie: "Dad, you're better off not knowing."
Father: "Your mom died because she was a witch, Bonnie. And I don't know if one day you will have to face with whatever got her. So I need to know." (realized that Bonnie is hesitating big time) "Bonnie, talk to me."
The tense silence continued for a while.
Raven: (turned and saw Stefan. She clearly couldn't recognize him, so she tried to improvise) "Oh, hi." (smiled)
Stefan: "You didn't see me?"
Raven: "Sorry, I'm in a little hurry."
Stefan: "What kind of hurry, drink's not going anywhere."
Raven: "They're not, but I kinda have an urgent rendezvous with the little girl's room, if you know what I mean."
Stefan: "Ah, I see. Then I'd better not keep you."
Raven: (before she intended to leave, she weirdly looked at him) "I'm sorry, I totally forgot your name."
Raven: "Stefan! Right."
Then she inhaled deeply, indicating she needs him to tell his surname too. Stefan understood.
Raven: "Salvatore! I knew it!" (chuckled nervously) "It won't happen again!"
Stefan: (smiled) "I hope so!" (Raven smiled too, then she turned around and started walking. Stefan, clearly suspected something, talked before she could go far) "Listen, uhm, there's something I wanna ask you."
Raven: (stopped and looked at Stefan) "Really?"
Stefan: "If you're free tomorrow night, I'd like to take you out for a dinner, and then maybe movie? What do you say?"
Raven: (surprised by this offer) "Sounds rather.. fun!"
Stefan: "So I'll pick you at.."
Raven: (interrupted him) "Actually I'll be at home. You can come whenever you want."
Stefan: "Then I'll see you tomorrow."
Raven: "I'll see you tomorrow."
Then looked at him seductively, and walked away. Stefan looked at her for a while, then went out.
Father: (with an obvious effort to keep it together) "Vampires! They're real."
Bonnie: (nodded) "That's what the invitation and vervain are for. A vampire has to be invited in to enter a private property. And vervain weakens them. Sort of."
Father: (he was trying to process) "Bonnie, when I said I didn't like your lifestyle, I had something entirely different in my mind. But now that I know the truth, I really don't like your lifestyle." (Bonnie didn't know what to say) "What else?"
Bonnie: "What else what?"
Father: "What else is out there?"
Bonnie: "You're not supposed to know this. This is not your world!"
Father: "Not my world!? Bonnie, the next person who knocks this door, can be a vampire! Or god knows what else! Now I have to live the rest of my life knowing that truth!"
Bonnie: "See? That's why you're not supposed to know. If I tell you two more things, you wouldn't speak to another living soul ever again!"
He seemed convinced that he'd better not know. But he couldn't help having this funny feeling inside.
Father: "I don't know how can you handle all these stuff."
Bonnie: "Because I have the power to keep them in line. I've seen things. Things that my mom hadn't seen, things that no witch has ever seen. I'm stronger than a lot of witches." (they looked at each other) "You have nothing to worry about."
Father: (looked down in silence for a moment) "Just promise me one thing, okay?" (Bonnie nodded slowly) "When you have something witchy to do, you let me know, okay? I just want to know wherever you are."
Bonnie: (smiled) "Yeah, I can do that."
He tried to smile to her too. Then they hugged each other.
Father: "I love you Bonnie."
Bonnie: "I love you too, dad.
Damon: "What the hell were you thinking? That I wouldn't find out?"
June: (after Damon closed the door) "Actually yes, that's what I was counting on!"
Damon: "What the hell does that supposed to mean?"
June: (feeling somewhat tearful) "You quit. You're not interested in us anymore!"
Damon: "How can you even say that!?"
June: "You moved out, Damon! You left us alone, and helpless. Jeremy can't be here. Look at him! The second the school was over, he went to grill! He can't even come to home to change! And Elena is here all this time, all alone. What if something happens, and there is no one here to protect her?" (Damon couldn't know what to say) "Elena is all I have left, Damon. She didn't abandon me in my worst time, so I'm sure as hell not gonna abandon her now!" (looked at Damon as a few tears dropped from her eyes) "When you were here it was all good. And not just because I like you or I enjoy your company, but because when I left the house, I never looked back because I knew you would be there for her until your last breath. But you left us when we needed you most. So you tell me, what would you do?"
Damon couldn't help noticing that June had valid points. He looked down, trying to figure out what to say.
Damon: "Listen. We'll figure something out, okay? I promise you. But you have to go to school, June. They're gonna take you away if you do not go to school!" (June looked at him tearfully) "You don't want that to happen, do you?"
Damon: "Then promise me." (June looked away, but Damon insisted) "Promise me June!"
June: (hesitantly) "I promise."
Upon this Damon looked relieved.
Jeremy: "Hi, how can I help you?"
Raven: (showed her badge) "Raven Johnson. I'm looking for Elena Gilbert. Do you know anyone who could tell me where I can find her?"
Jeremy: "Uh, yes, I do. I'm her brother."
Raven: (smiled) "Small world! So where is she?"
Jeremy: "At the public cemetery. She died five months ago." (upon this Raven's looks changed) "I thought the police would know this."
Upon this Raven focused on his head, but felt nervous when she noticed she couldn't read his mind. She helplessly looked at a random point, then looked at Jeremy.
Raven: "That'll be all. Thanks for your time."
Then she left grill in a hurry. Jeremy looked behind her confused.
Damon: "Hey Stef."
Stefan: "Where's Elena?"
June: "In her room, sleeping."
Damon: "What's wrong?"
Stefan: (looked at them) "Inari's in town." (left himself to an armchair)
Upon this both June and Damon felt alarmed.
June: "What? Are you sure?"
Damon: "Where'd you see her?"
Stefan: "At the grill. She was posing as Raven."
Damon: "The new hot cop?"
Stefan: "If you so much as make a move to her Damon.."
Damon: "Wow, no. I was just gonna say she picked a nice body to wear."
Damon: "So what makes you think she was Inari?"
Stefan: "Well, yesterday we had lunch together. It was fun. But today she didn't even recognize me."
June: (while smiling ridiculously) "We have a different term for that, Stefan!"
Damon laughed. But Stefan gave a fake smile.
Stefan: "I also talked to sheriff Forbes, said she didn't come to work today and her phone doesn't answer."
June: "That doesn't make her Inari."
Damon: "In fact that proves she's not Inari."
June: "Exactly. I'd be worried if she was both at work and at grill."
Stefan: "Except Raven is a disciplined and hardworking woman who wouldn't do such thing."
Damon: "Like you know her that well."
Stefan: "According to sheriff Forbes who's known her for two months."
Damon: "So what does she say about her favorite cop's undisciplined behaviors?"
Stefan: "I didn't tell her. Didn't want to risk her going to Inari only to die."
June: "So what are you planning to do?"
Stefan: "Well, I got a date with her tomorrow night."
Damon: "Wow, I thought I liked old women!"
June: "You asked for a date from a woman who you thought was Inari?"
Stefan: "She was more enthusiastic than you might think!"
This comment made all of them smile.
Damon: "Alright, that's definitely Inari."
Damon tried to make it sound like a joke, but both Stefan and June knew that he was somewhat convinced.
June: "I'm gonna check on Elena." (then she stood up and quickly went upstairs)
Damon: "Alright then." (to Stefan) "Call Bonnie, see if she could cook up any kitsune repellent spells."
Stefan: "Why don't you call her?"
Damon: (hissingly) "I'm not talking to her."
Stefan: "Why, because she killed Natalie?"
Damon: "Yes, Stefan. Because she killed Natalie?"
Stefan: "Well, then you're gonna have to get over it because you also killed her mother."
Damon: "I didn't kill her, I turned her. There's a difference."
Stefan: "Then where is she?" (Damon looked at Stefan, meaning to say "how the hell am I supposed to know". Stefan continued talking) "Abby was ready to walk into her daughter's life, until you turned her into a vampire. You are the reason Bonnie doesn't have her mother now, and I don't have my best friend. But we all put it behind us and moved on. Now it's your turn." (stood up) "You're not any more special than any of us, Damon."
Then left the room. Damon awkwardly remained silent, his looks fixed on a random point.
A weird sound, like a mixture of hissing-howling-wind noises, started to be heard inside the Gilbert house. It was getting more and more louder. At one point it became so loud that both Jeremy and June opened their doors and looked at each other.
Jeremy: "Are you hearing this?"
June: (freaked out) "What is that?"
Jeremy: "How should I know, you're the psychic!"
They anxiously looked around for a while, listening to the sound getting even more louder. Suddenly the voice was gone and everything became silent again. But it lasted less than a second, and the silence was torn by Elena screaming with intense pain. Fearing something is happening, both yelled her name and ran to her room. But when they entered, they saw no one. Elena was all alone, but she was holding her head and screaming as hard as she can. Unable to tell what is going on but fearfully, both ran to her. Jeremy wasn't able to understand what was happening. But as soon as June touched her, she knew what it was all about.
Jeremy: "What is happening!"
June: "Jeremy run! Call Damon! She is remembering!"
As Elena continued screaming, Jeremy quickly ran out of the room.
Screams were gone, and it was quiet again. June was telling Jeremy what she felt when she touched Elena. Suddenly Damon walked out of Elena's room. June and Jeremy stood up and went near him.
Damon: "I hope I wasn't too late."
Jeremy: "How is she now?"
Damon: "Sleeping it off, or in a coma. I really can't tell."
Suddenly Stefan opened the front door and rushed upstairs.
Stefan: "Chris called, asked what's happening. Said he felt something went through him."
Damon: "I bet anything Meredith felt it too."
Jeremy: "So it was angel wings."
June: "I thought it didn't work."
Damon: "With a delay, but apparently it worked."
Jeremy: "So how does this work now?"
Damon: "Elena's mind was being crushed under the pressure of the memories of her life since the second she was born. So to ease the pain, I compelled her to forget some of it."
Jeremy: "How much?"
Damon: "For now she doesn't remember anything that's happened before her 18th birthday."
June: "Isn't that too much?"
Damon: "It's until her mind eases. And when she's ready, I'll give her one more year. One year at a time, and before we know it, she'll be the Elena we know again."
They looked at each other. They were all anxious, but they were also incredibly happy. Finally, Elena was back.
June: (when she saw Elena, as she kept going) "Good morning, Elena."
Elena felt weird. But after she went, a funny smile came to her face, realizing she was able to talk. She went to the kitchen. June was preparing breakfast. Elena sat, and held her head with both her hands. June looked at her worried.
June: "Are you okay?"
Elena: (raised her head quickly) "What? Yeah, I'm.. I just have this headache."
June: "I thought Damon took that away."
Elena: "Yeah, he did. It's.. kind of hard to explain. Whatever memory I have left, they're all rushing at once. And it still hurts. Overload to nerves, I guess."
June: "Is it always like this?"
Elena: "I remember it was much more last night. I can't remember why. It's better when I'm sleeping though."
June: "So what do you remember?"
Elena: "Everything. Everything since my 18th birthday is so vivid. Like it happened a second ago. And every second I keep remembering, remembering, remembering, everything!"
June: "Even your no memory days?"
Elena: "No memory days, Dark Dimension days, vampire days.. They all keep coming to me."
June: "Must be hard."
Elena: "You have no idea."
June: "Actually I had a glimpse yesterday."
Elena: (looked at her) "You touched me?"
June: (nodded) "Even my brain hurt." (they looked at each other for a while. Then June turned around) "So, what do you want for breakfast?"
Elena: "Toast is fine."
June: (smiled) "Like Jenna?"
June suddenly realized Elena didn't remember Jenna because she died before Elena's 18th birthday. Without knowing what to say, she remained awkwardly silent for a while.
June: "Jeremy!" (thankfully she found a way to extricate herself. Then nervously turned to Elena, who was curiously looking at her) "Like Jeremy's toasts. He taught me how to do grill's toasts, you used to like them."
Elena: (June didn't know if she was good enough or Elena couldn't think much because of her headache, but Elena didn't seem to suspect anything) "I don't remember. If it's good, why not?"
June: "Okay. One toast coming for Elena Gilbert."
Elena looked at her. She clearly wanted to say something but she didn't know how to.
Elena: "June, we need to talk."
June: "About what?"
Elena: "When I said I remembered everything from my Dark Dimension days.." (June looked at her weirdly, as if she was going to continue with "it was a lie") ".. I also remember how Damon and Klaus saved me from captivity and what I found out after that."
June: "What did you find out?"
Elena: "Like you don't know." (June blinked several times. She was clearly trying to figure out what Elena was talking about) "How could you do that, June?"
June: "What're you talking about?"
Elena: "I know about the deal you made with Klaus." (June moved uncomfortably) "What the hell were you thinking?"
June: "What was I thinking?"
Elena: "You can't sacrifice yourself like that!"
June: "How is that any different than when you sacrifice yourself for others?"
Elena: "Because I'm an adult, June!"
Elena: "And you are under my responsibility. You cannot do such things!"
June: "So where were you to stop me? You were dead, Elena!"
Elena: "And you should've respected that! You shouldn't have sacrificed yourself all over again to save me."
June: (her eyes became tearful) "You think I did this for you? I did it for myself!"
June: (yelled with sadness, while also crying) "You don't know what I feel, Elena! When my parents died, I was lost. Then I came to Mystic Falls, found out about vampires, werewolves, and every other supernatural creatures. I was freaking out! But someone helped me through all of that, and that was you, Elena. You gave my life a new meaning, and you promised me that you would always be there for me, but then you were gone, and I felt even more lost! So when I saw a chance to save you, I took it! I took it, okay? I made that deal with Klaus, I sacrificed myself, and I don't regret it!"
Elena: "June, you can't say stuff like that!"
June: "Why, you think you're better than me because you're five years older?"
Elena: "No, I'm not better than you, June. But.."
June: "You know what, you are one selfish bitch! And a hypocrite!" (then turned her back in tears and started walking to the door. Elena was shocked to hear those from June)
Elena: "Where're you going?"
June: "To school, I'm late!" (quickly grabbed her backpack and opened the door)
Elena: "No, wait! June!" (but June slammed the door without even hearing her) "Dammit!"
June was walking away from home as fast as she can, while sobbing and crying. Damon had just gotten there and he was getting out of his car when he saw June.
Damon: "Hey June! What happened?"
June: (without stopping) "Elena happened!"
Damon: (anxiously) "Is she okay?"
June: (angrily) "Yeah she is!"
Damon looked behind June as she walked away. Then rushed to the house. Elena looked at the door with excitement. Clearly she thought it was June.
Damon: "What happened?"
Elena: "I tried to do the right thing. I messed up."
Damon didn't know what to do or say.
Caroline: "So you heard about Elena?"
Bonnie: "Yeah, I saw Jeremy's text this morning."
Caroline: "Did you see her?"
Bonnie: "I went to visit her. She was pretty shaken up."
Caroline: "I wouldn't expect anything else."
Bonnie: "Why is that?"
Caroline: (removed the curtain and went out) "Well, Chris did warn us about wings of remembrance."
Bonnie: "Damon compelled her to forget her past."
Caroline: "Yeah, I heard. They say he'll give it back to her year by year." (showed her clothes) "So what do you think?"
Bonnie: "Very.. unusual."
Bonnie: "You don't wear dark colors. You never did."
Caroline: "That's why I decided to make a little change. Dark colors, leather, spandex.."
Bonnie: (chuckled) "Okay, Felicia Hardy!"
Caroline: "You know what, I like it. Doesn't that matter most?"
Bonnie: "Yeah, I think."
Caroline: (quickly changed her clothes and wore the old ones again. Then she wrapped the ones she liked and they started walking to the place where they pay for it) "So you were saying you were dreaming about.."
Caroline: (sarcastically) "That's not odd."
Bonnie: "Tell me about it. Whenever I close my eyes, I hear her. It's like a friggin' nightmare."
Caroline: "What does she say?"
Bonnie: "Nothing, just my name."
Caroline: "So for some reason she's trying to reach out to you."
Bonnie: "You know what's the scary part? It got stronger. Like way stronger. I was able to shut her down at first but in the last two days, it started itching my brain."
Caroline: "She must have found a power source."
Bonnie: "That, or she came to earth."
Caroline: "I don't think so. If that's the case she'd do more than trying. Besides you and Damon broke her starball, she can't be here."
Bonnie: "I don't know about that. Misao is Inari's favorite. So why she wouldn't give her a brand new one?"
Caroline: "I wouldn't make a big deal anyway. Stefan says she's not as bad as we thought, she's just the way she is because of Inari."
Bonnie: "He would say that. When Stefan was in prison she fed him some of her blood and they had a little heart to heart."
Caroline: "But he said she also tried to warn you before the giant creatures destroyed your army."
Bonnie: "That was just Misao being diabolical. That bitch killed me! There is no way I'm gonna trust her again."
Caroline gave her some points for this. Then they continued walking.
Elena: "Who is Jenna?"
Stefan: (apparently wasn't expecting such question) "What?"
Elena: "This morning, June mentioned some Jenna. Then realized I didn't remember her, and tried to act like she meant to say Jeremy. But I caught it."
Stefan: (remained silent for a while, unsure about saying it. But he knew he had to give her an answer, and he couldn't lie) "She was your aunt. Your mother's younger sister. Jenna Sommers."
Elena: "So where is she?"
Stefan: (hesitantly) "She's dead."
Elena: (upset) "She died before I was eighteen?" (Stefan didn't know what to say) "I wish I remembered her."
Stefan: (smiled) "She was blonde. Like Caroline. And had green eyes. She looked older than her age, but she was beautiful. And she loved you." (Elena smiled. Apparently she was enjoying how Stefan was telling her) "She was innocent. She didn't know any of this supernatural stuff."
Elena: "So how did she die?"
Stefan: "That's.. a story for some other time."
Elena: "In other words, it's something I should find out on my own."
Elena: (looked down, trying to put the correct words together) "Listen, I can tell that you're a great person, Stefan. But regardless of our past, the first memory I have with you is how you terrorized my life; killed two of my friends in front of me and bit me to death while I was running for my life."
Elena: "I know, it was not your fault. But what happened on the bridge, that was all on you. There was no compulsion, no manipulation. You took me to the bridge I lost my parents with your most clear mind, to kill me and turn me into a vampire, just so that Klaus can't have anymore hybrids. What you did that night, even though I can't remember why, I still remember how it hurt me. How you hurt me." (Stefan remained speechless) "I'm not idiot. I know we had a nice past and we fell into an epic love. But I don't have that past anymore. And all I remember is how bad you were to me, and how Damon was there for me all the time. That's why until I remember more, I don't want you around."
Stefan: (he didn't know if it was Elena's cold voice or the coldness of the words, but he was hurt. But he tried to hide it as much as he could) "I understand."
Elena: "I wish there was an easy way to say this. There is not."
At that moment the door opened. Both Elena and Stefan looked at who that is. It was June.
June: (to Stefan) "Call Damon and Bonnie. It's almost time. Are you ready?"
Stefan: (stood up and spoke with slight aggression) "I am."
June quickly looked at Elena, as she clearly suspected his aggression is because of whatever he spoke with Elena. But without saying a word, she went upstairs.
Stefan: "We had a date."
Raven smiled too. Then she went out and together they got in Stefan's car. It didn't take long until they arrived to an empty street where Stefan pulled over and got out of the car. Raven followed him out.
Raven: "What are we doing here?"
Stefan: "This is it. We're here."
Raven: "Where is here?"
Stefan: "Here is where I wanted to take you on our first date."
Raven: "Is this a sick joke?"
Stefan: "Oh no, I figured it could be very tricky to impress a woman of your age. So instead of trying to give you a best night ever, we decided to give you the worst."
Suddenly Raven heard Damon's voice from her back.
Damon: "So here's how this is gonna happen."
Raven quickly turned around, but before she saw Damon, June's voice is heard from a different direction.
June: "You're gonna leave Elena alone."
Bonnie: (also from a different direction) "Or we will make you!"
In no time, Raven was surrounded by the four of them.
Raven: (looked at Stefan) "Stefan, what's going on here?"
Stefan: "Drop the act, Inari. We know it's you."
Raven: (quickly looked at the four of them, then turned to Stefan with a smile) "What gave me away?"
Stefan: "No no, you were good. It's just.. We're better than you."
Raven: "You must be real brave or stupid to come before me like that. Do you really think you four can stand a chance against me? A psychic, a witch, and two vampires? You're just bugs to me, it's pathetic. I feel insulted."
Stefan: "You're not supposed to be able to read our minds!"
Raven: "I'm not. In fact it's a really fascinating spell, whatever I do I can't seem to break it. But I can still sense your auras." (they looked at each other with surprise) "What, you thought the little old me had no tricks in her? Shame on you!"
Damon: "You're not gonna touch Elena."
Raven: "Oh I am. I am gonna kill her on her twentieth birthday, and when I do, I will finally have unlimited power on Earth. Then watch me dominate this squalor and make the six billion my slaves!"
Damon: "I'm not gonna let you."
Raven: "Then you're gonna have to stop me now."
Upon this Damon and Stefan looked at each other. Both shook their heads, meaning "Here goes", then attacked Raven with their vampire speed. Raven tried to make a move, but felt she was unable to move forward because of June's barriers. Raven ducked and dodged Damon's speed-punch. Then turned around and kicked Stefan in the face. Stefan collapsed, and Raven kicked him. Damon came back trying to hit her again, but Raven held his arm and twisted it so hard that Damon had to fall. Suddenly Raven saw that Bonnie was on a spell, and without a moment's hesitation she pushed Bonnie to Stefan's car with her powers. The crash was so fast that the car got dragged for a while and the car was crushed. As Bonnie fell to the ground unconscious, Raven made some insane moves and ended up having Damon and Stefan's necks between her arms and body, ready to break both with a single move. Then she looked at June, who was watching helplessly. Stefan and Damon was putting every effort to break free, but it was futile. Inari was too strong for them.
Raven: "I'm feeling you, girl. You are powerful for your age. But I'm still way out of your league." (June looked at Raven helplessly. She was right. She couldn't even block her shapeshifting powers despite her greatest efforts) "So consider this my fair warning; if by tomorrow Elena doesn't come to me, I will return, and finish what I started tonight!"
Then she broke both Stefan and Damon's necks with almost no effort. June helplessly yelled. Then Raven turned to her, and cast an incredibly powerful spell that put June to a sleep in less than one second. After June fell too, Raven walked away like nothing happened at all.
Elena: "Oh my god, oh my god! What happened?"
Damon: "Inari happened."
Elena saw that June was breathing heavily.
Elena: "Was it just the two of you?"
As they went inside, Elena closed the door and went near them.
Damon: "There was Bonnie and Stefan too. We failed. She was strong."
Elena: "How is she?"
Damon: "Stefan's taking her home right now. He gave her some vampire blood. And I to June. They'll be good as new after a good sleep." (looked at Elena) "Listen, Inari is after you and she's close."
Elena: "How close?"
Damon: "For now she doesn't know where you are. But now she knows that we know she is Raven, so she's not gonna be Raven anymore, which means she's gonna be impossible to identify. She could be the mailman, pizza man, or any of us. So you will need protection."
Elena: "Okay. What are we gonna do?"
Damon: "I'd invite you our house, but it's just for Stefan and me, so.."
Elena: (with a naughty smile) "You want to come back here."
Damon: (smiled, as he caught her act) "It's only for a short time."
That is when June woke up groaning, and looked at Damon and Elena as she sat on the couch. The three of them looked at each other silently for a while.
Bonnie's father: "Thank you, son." (Stefan nodded, meaning "you're welcome") "I wish you could stay for some tea."
Stefan: (smiled) "Some other time."
Stefan: (quickly looked at Bonnie) "Don't be so hard on her."
Father: (smiled, as he apparently liked someone caring about her) "Okay."
Then they left the room. Little they knew about, Bonnie already started hearing Misao in her mind.
- Elena has her memories back.
