|Bonnie entered the house and met a nice atmosphere, and stood and looked around as if it was how she always dreamed a family would be like. Antonio came near her.
Antonio: "I'd like to show you around, but dinner's getting cold."
Bonnie: (affectively) "This is perfect!"
Mr. Wilder: "Not big, but.."
Bonnie: "I like small houses. At least you're closer to each other."
Antonio: (saw her dropping a tear, went in front of her and wiped it gently.) "Hey, crying is not allowed tonight. This is supposed to be fun, we're supposed to be happy."
Bonnie: (sniffed happily) "I am happy!"
Antonio and his father looked at each other quickly with a smile.
Mr. Wilder: "Okay, dinner time!"
Stefan: "Elena, wait a second."
Elena: (kept walking) "What is it, Stefan?"
Stefan: "Say you found her. What're you gonna do?"
Elena: "I don't know, but she's gotta answer for what she's done."
Stefan: "What, leaving June alone, like what you're doing right now?"
Elena: "Then go back."
Stefan: "Elena, stop."
Elena: "Who's side are you on?"
Stefan: "I'm not on anyone's side."
Elena: "Then get out of my way."
She pushed Stefan away, walked to Bonnie's house and knocked the door a few times. A little while later Bonnie's father showed up.
Bonnie's dad: "Elena? Hi."
Elena: "Is Bonnie home?"
Dad: "No, she left."
Elena: "Do you know where she's gone?"
Dad: (shook his head indifferently) "Na.."
Elena: (turned to Stefan) "Great, how do we find Antonio's place now?"
Stefan: "I don't wanna find them, Elena."
Elena looked at Stefan angrily.
Elena: (turned to him) "Yeah! You know where they are?"
Dad: "Sure. They moved here this week." (went forward to show them the house) "That one over there. Two blocks ahead."
Elena: "The one with the picket fence?"
Dad: "Yeah, it's hard to miss."
Elena: "Okay." (to Stefan) "Let's go."
Their unusual behaviors bugged Bonnie's dad too, and he followed them to see what's going on.
Antonio: "And I was fat back then."
Bonnie: "I can't imagine you fat!"
Mr. Wilder: "Yeah, imagine this one nine years old and with chubby cheeks. And then he was running and creaming "Hey you stop, it's my shoe, it's my shoe!" You should've been there."
Bonnie: "I wish!"
Mr. Wilder: "He was really cute back then."
Antonio: "Now I'm not?"
Bonnie: "You're handsome now."
He and Bonnie looked at each other with a smile.
Mr. Wilder: "That was a good answer."
Antonio: "You're gonna have to forgive my dad."
Bonnie: "I think your dad is really cool."
Mr. Wilder: (poked Antonio with his elbow) "See? She likes me."
Antonio: (with a ridiculous smile) "Boy, oh boy!"
Mr. Wilder: (to Bonnie) "But really, this night means a lot to me. This is the first time Antonio brings a girl home."
Antonio weirdly looked at him. Even Bonnie was surprised.
Mr. Wilder: (with realization that his argument didn't make sense at all) "I mean in a.. boyfriend-girlfriend kinda way. Others were always leaving him in the what you call as 'friendzone'."
Antonio: (rubbed his forehead) "God!"
Bonnie: (laughed) "Oh my god!"
Antonio: "Anymore embarrassing facts you're gonna spill out tonight, dad?"
Mr. Wilder: "Working on it!"
Antonio: "Good." (suddenly the bell rang. They all looked at the door and then each other) "Who's that, were you waiting someone?"
Mr. Wilder: "No." (cleaned his mouth quickly and stood up) "I'll get it."
A short while later the door opened. It was Elena, and a little behind her was Stefan, talking to Bonnie's dad. But he didn't seem to know them. Elena looked at Mr. Wilder as soon as the door opened and spoke before he could.
Elena: "Is Bonnie here?"
Mr. Wilder: (frowned and looked annoyed) "Who're you?"
Elena looked into his eyes and compelled him.
Elena: "Tell me if Bonnie is here."
Mr. Wilder: (in an awkward trance) "She's here, having dinner with us."
Elena: "Call her out."
Suddenly Antonio appeared and saw Elena.
Antonio: "Elena? What're you doing here?"
Mr. Wilder: "She wants to talk to Bonnie. I'm gonna call her out."
Bonnie, a little behind Antonio, noticed from Mr. Wilder's behavior that he was compelled and looked with disbelief.
Bonnie: (showed herself) "I'm here."
Elena: (looked at her) "We need to talk."
Bonnie: (barely looked at Mr. Wilder) "Yes we do."
Antonio: "Dad, why don't we get inside."
As Bonnie walked out, father and son got in and closed the door.
Elena: "What is this?"
Bonnie: "Did you compel that man?"
Elena: "I asked first!"
Bonnie: "I don't care."
Elena: "Yes I did and if you could be compelled I'd compel you too!"
Bonnie: "What is wrong with you?"
Elena: "How could you leave June alone like that?"
Bonnie: "What, did she hurt herself?"
Elena: "She could have, or someone could!"
Bonnie: "Elena, June is not a baby. And I'm not your babysitter, I'm your friend."
Elena: "And I asked something from you as a friend. If I knew a boy was all it takes to break your promises I'd ask Caroline!"
Bonnie: "Then next time ask her! Or don't leave her at all! I have my own life to worry about."
Elena: "Yeah you worry about boys. I'll try to protect people from getting killed. You know, if I knew you were so selfish and lecherous I would've.."
Bonnie angrily slapped Elena.
Bonnie: "The world doesn't revolve around you, Elena. Grow up a little!" (suddenly she saw her father near Stefan and looked with annoyance) "I hope it was worth it, bringing them here and watching them ruin my night!"
Her dad: "They only asked me where your friend was. If I knew you were here I wouldn't bother. I am supposed to stay out of your issues, remember?"
Bonnie remembered when she said that to him, and looked with great heart break. Then she turned back to the house, but after taking a few steps she didn't feel like going back in. She walked away as the rest were looking at her.
David: (curiously) "What happened?"
Peter: "A vampire chased me. I had to get out of town."
Amy: "How did he know who you were?"
Amy: "Gary was able to sense you?"
David: "What happened to the cover?"
Peter: "Probably went off."
David: "Isn't that too soon?"
Amy: "Maybe not. It's been a while since she cast the spell."
David: (turned to Peter) "So were you able to get what we need?"
Peter: "They have a couple of vampires on their side. And they have nothing else that could bother us."
David: "Did they know?"
Peter: "Apparently not. That creep Gary was chasing me on foot, while a vampire was right near him."
David: "That's good news."
Peter: "So are we all ready."
David: "Yeah, we're all ready. Three of us will stay here. I called Jessica and Thom, they're on their way too. Tomorrow we'll meet here, then we'll go to Mystic Falls. We can't lose any more time."
Peter: (nodded) "We'd better not!"
Stefan: (trying not to sound cold) "Hey."
Elena: "You don't have to try, I know what you think."
Elena: "Last night was last night, Stefan. I was really upset with her and.."
Stefan: "Did you apologize?"
Elena: (looked weirdly) "No. And neither did she."
Stefan: "So what's gonna happen now."
Elena: (confused) "I don't know."
Stefan: (took position, and Elena understood from the way he sat and looked that he was going to be serious) "You can't be mad at her, Elena."
Elena: "Why not?"
Stefan: "Because June is your responsibility, not Bonnie's. It's not her fault that June is threatened by people she can't protect her from."
Elena: "That's not what the last night was about. When Katherine told me Klaus was after me, I decided to hand myself over to him to save my friends. Is it too much if I expect someone to return me that favor?"
Stefan: "You can't expect everyone to be like you, Elena. Everyone is helping every way they can."
Elena: "But Caroline is not leaving us to be with his boyfriend. She knows what's at stake, she can prioritize. I just wish Bonnie could too."
Stefan realized there is no point continuing this discussion, and tried to change the subject.
Stefan: "Where is June now?"
Elena: "She's in her class."
Sue: "Is this where we say goodbye and then wait for the ring desperately so that we can see each other again?"
Matt: "Just close your eyes, and think about me in the field."
Sue: (her face indicated she wanted to do so so much but she can't) "Ah, I can't. This is our last week before final exams."
Matt: "Then think about this."
He went ahead and kissed her.
Sue: (then) "I hate that I have one more year after you."
Matt: "Do you want me to fail this year?"
Sue: (laughed) "God no, please don't."
Matt: "Then I'll get a job, save some money, maybe when you graduate we can do something.."
The way he stopped as if he hesitated to say the rest made her curious.
Sue: "Like what?"
Matt: "I don't know.. I did it again. I made plans about future with you without asking you."
Sue: "That's not wrong."
Matt: "Tell that to Elena. She broke up with me because of that."
Sue: "You know, just for the record, Elena is stupid." (they both smiled) "Anyone who lets you go is dumb. Then again you have a nice back so it is sometimes advised." (Matt laughed upon this. Sue got serious) "If you're planning a future with me, that's fine. It shows your feelings for me are serious, and you take our relationship seriously. I like it." (Matt didn't know what to say, but he seemed relieved to hear this. Sue came near him and held his cheek) "I'm not Elena. Elena is dumb. I'm smart."
Bonnie: "I don't wanna talk about it."
Antonio: "Then we don't, problem solved."
Bonnie stopped and Antonio went in front of her.
Bonnie: "Look, I'm sorry for last night, I didn't want it to happen."
Antonio: "I know that. I'm not here to accuse you, things happen, it's not your fault."
Bonnie: "Actually it was. Everything I did in the past is now coming back to me." (they looked at each other. Bonnie felt a need to explain it) "There was a time before I met you. I wasn't really myself and.. I did things I'm not proud of."
Bonnie: "One day I told my father to stay out of my issues. Last night he returned that to me."
Antonio: "That's not your fault." (Bonnie looked surprised) "He's your father, Bonnie. No matter what has happened, he can't hold a grudge against his only daughter this long. No, this is not right." (Bonnie tried to say something but he interrupted) "My father and I fight too, but it never takes longer than ten minutes for us to make up. Only two minutes later he comes with beer and says "Peace offer?", and when he doesn't I go to him and say "What took you so long?". My father is my best friend and that's how it should be. If your father still hasn't forgiven you it's his fault. You can't blame yourself for it."
Bonnie: "What about yesterday? I left June alone to go meet you. Something could have happened."
Antonio: "For someone who's seen Matilda, I think June is old enough to take care of herself just fine."
Bonnie: (a quick smile appeared in her face, but it quickly faded) "But Elena trusted me with her and I screwed up."
Antonio: "Only because I talked you into it."
Bonnie: "I still should have.."
Antonio: (interrupted her) "No. No, no no. I wouldn't have let you. I would've begged, lit your way, do everything in my power until you decided to come." (Bonnie looked at him with a smile) "It's not your fault. It's mine."
Bonnie: (looked around nervously, trying to hide her smile. Then she looked at him, without any effort to hide it. She almost wanted him to see it) "Maybe it is." (Antonio smiled and moved closer to her to kiss her. But Bonnie moved her body a little back and laughed. Antonio looked confused) "There are people around."
Antonio: "Are you still minding about people?" (upon this Bonnie looked at him a little while, then kissed him very quickly and walked to her class. Antonio spoke behind her) "You call that a kiss?" (Bonnie stopped and turned to him. They laughed) "This is the second time you're doing this, I want something real this time."
After a little funny hesitation, Bonnie went near him and kissed him longer and passionately this time. When they are done, they looked at each other and laughed briefly. Then she walked to her class as Antonio looked behind her happily.
She and the teacher entered the class at the same time. After Bonnie sat to her seat, Caroline handed her a piece of paper. When she checked, she saw Caroline wrote "Need 2 talk 2 u after class". She looked at Caroline and they nodded to each other. Then Bonnie and Elena found themselves looking at each other, but they both quickly looked away.
Gary: "Damon! Did you dream about me, why call this early?"
Damon: "It's eleven lazy ass. Get up."
Gary: "What's going on?"
Damon: "I need my daily booze and I hate to drink alone."
Gary: "Well I don't drink, Damon."
Damon: "You're on me. And this offer comes once in a decade so I suggest you to take it."
Gary: (smiled) "Alright, wait for me."
Caroline: "Can you do a locator spell for me?"
Bonnie: (confused, as if she expected her to talk about something else) "What do you want to find?"
Caroline: "Not what. Who." (Bonnie looked at her with sadness. She understood Caroline wanted Tyler. Seeing Bonnie's face, Caroline continued talking) "I miss him so much, Bonnie."
Bonnie: "Well, I.. I mean.. I can't locate him without any personal object."
Caroline: (held the necklace Tyler gave her) "He gave this to me before he left, so that I could find him if I changed my mind."
Bonnie: "Caroline, I don't think this is a good idea."
Bonnie: "I mean he left for a reason. He left everything behind, he left everyone."
Caroline: "But he asked me to join him. I hesitated. I thought this was what I wanted but now I want to be with him more than anything." (realizing Bonnie is hesitant, Caroline continued) "I'm not saying right now. But after this angel thing is over, I want to go."
Bonnie looked at her friend. She was well aware if she resisted more it would be suspicious. She eventually gave in.
Bonnie: "Give me the necklace. I'll look at it tonight and see if I can use it to make a connection."
Caroline: (slowly) "Okay."
She slowly took the necklace off from her neck and gave it to Bonnie. Bonnie looked at the necklace weirdly for a moment, then put it in her bag. Caroline smiled to her.
Elena heard him calling her while running to her, and stopped to wait him. He quickly arrived.
Elena: "Antonio, hi."
Elena: "What's going on?"
Antonio: "We need to talk."
Antonio: "I heard the discussion you and Bonnie had last night."
Elena moved uncomfortably.
Elena: "Look, I'm sorry about it, I didn't mean to ruin your night."
Antonio: "Yes, you did mean to ruin our night, Elena. You knew she was on a date with me and you could have chosen any other time to do your lashing out but you chose that particular moment."
Elena: "What do you want me to say?"
Antonio: (looked at her for a while) "If there is something you'll say, you should say it by feeling it, not because I want to hear it. Otherwise it has no meaning for me. So say, don't say, I don't care. I'm not here to talk about it. I'm here to talk about Bonnie."
Surprised by what she heard, she paid attention to him.
Elena: "Okay, what do you wanna talk about?"
Antonio: "I didn't hear everything last night. But I heard enough to understand what was going on. And I just wanted to say, you need to back off."
Elena: "Excuse me?"
Antonio: "Look. Obviously I don't know Bonnie as well as you do. She's your childhood friend, you two practically grew up almost as close as sisters."
Antonio: "And I don't wanna cross some lines here but I'm gonna have to. After she left there, do you know what she did? She cried. My dad was going crazy for some reason and I couldn't leave him, but I watched her until she went inside her home. And she cried all the way until there." (Elena looked like she hadn't realized this and she was feeling bad about it) "Look, maybe you're not aware, but Bonnie has a lot of problems going on in her life. She doesn't let on, but she's heartbroken, and she needs someone who can understand her. You know how cold her father was last night. She has to sleep in that house every night, that alone would drive me crazy. I just think it's for the best if her best friends are there for her." (he and Elena looked at each other with a brief awkward silence) "End of my daily rant." (they both smiled. Antonio looked at his watch) "I just wanted to get this out of my system."
Elena: "I'm glad you did. I like you Antonio. You really care about her."
Antonio: (smiled barely) "Well I should get a biscuit or something before the bell rings. I didn't have breakfast and I'm starving."
Damon: "I'm sorry man, but they don't have any of your favorite, they are out of apple juice." (Gary laughed upon this and they sat near the bar) "Any news about our friends?"
Gary: "Arnold says he found a good spot to watch the area. It's the clock tower at the town center, the tallest structure in the town. Only problem is the bell."
Damon: "I'll see if I can get it removed?"
Gary: "Can you do it?" (Damon pointed his eyes and an imaginary person's eyes, meaning to say he'll use compulsion. Gary nodded with an almost unrecognizable disapproval) "He has good eyes. He'll see them hours before they arrive."
Damon: "Is it an angel thing, or Arnold thing?" (Gary didn't answer, but he smiled genuinely) "What is your deal with pure bloods?"
Gary felt uncomfortable for a moment. But then takes a deep breath.
Gary: "My mother was a pure blood. But she betrayed their cause, found it disgusting to mate with her brother, so she ran. Married to a normal guy, built a normal life, and then I was born. But the pure bloods weren't okay with what she did, and they came after her. For me, for my dad. They destroyed my family in the blink of an eye. I survived because my mom made me run to the street, where people were. I still remember her last scream. It echoes in my mind, it haunts me."
Damon: "So when you grew up you found other half bloods like you, to build a team and fight against them."
Gary: "That about sums it up."
Damon: (remained silent for a while) "The phantom you said you met.. It was your mother's, wasn't it?"
Gary: (nodded slowly, in pain) "But pure bloods took out the phantom the next day because they didn't want some scary black spirit wandering around the city and killing people. But they took everything from me."
Damon: "You want revenge."
Gary: "Sue me."
Damon: "I'm fine with revenge. Makes a lot more sense than a lot of things in this world. You know there was this one guy, he once said 'sometimes there is honor in revenge'."
Gary: (looked impressed) "Whoever said it, sounds like a great guy."
Gary: "Was?" (Damon quickly looked at him, than drank. Gary understood he's now dead) "Sorry."
Antonio: "Give me your car keys."
Bonnie: (found this weird, but funny) "What?"
Antonio: "I wanna take you somewhere. Do you trust me?"
Bonnie: (looked at him for a while) "You know, I don't know you long enough to trust you. In fact I don't know to trust anyone. I'm.. I'm not good at this. This whole relationship thing. Mostly because my first real boyfriend was my mother's adoptive son, so I tend to get real awkward. I don't know how these things work. But somehow when I look at you, deep inside I know that I can trust you."
Antonio: (smiled) "I wanna take you somewhere."
Bonnie: (hesitantly) "I'm not in the dating mood."
Antonio: "You said you trusted me."
Upon this Bonnie chuckled softly, then gave her keys to him. Antonio drove the car to Elena's house and stopped in front of it. Bonnie understood, and looked at him.
Bonnie: "No. I'm not gonna talk to her."
Antonio: "Listen. Today I talked to Elena. She told me that you're not friends, you're sisters. You guys have known each other your all lives. I never had a friendship like that. So I don't want you to lose yours. Especially because of me."
Bonnie: "It wasn't your fault."
Antonio: "It was, Bonnie. I made you leave June alone, and in doing so I made you break a promise you made to a friend. Little things are important." (they looked at each other in silence. Bonnie seemed touched) "They know you're coming. They are waiting for you." (looked the Gilbert's door and smiled) "I take it back, they can't wait for you!"
Bonnie looked at the door too, and saw Elena and Caroline standing at the porch, looking at the car with welcoming smiles on their faces. Bonnie's eyes became full, and chuckled and sniffed with happiness.
Bonnie: (looked at Antonio) "You are amazing!"
They kissed each other. Then she got out of the car and walked near her friends. Antonio watched them as they happily reunited and entered the house.
Damon: "Tonight I'm getting that invitation."
Natalie: (naughtily) "Are you?"
Damon: (started walking towards her slowly, as Natalie stepped back invitingly) "I am."
Natalie: (smiled) "I don't think we should."
Damon: "Tell me why."
Then he kissed her. She immediately kissed him back and it turned into something unexpectedly passionate. Natalie randomly moved her hand, grabbed the door knob, opened her door and walked in, leaving Damon outside uninvited. He desperately looked at the threshold. Seeing him like that, Natalie couldn't help laughing at him.
Natalie: (eventually) "Are you gonna stand there all night?"
Damon: "Depends. Was that an invitation?"
Natalie: (seductively) "Check it out."
Upon this Damon looked at the threshold once more, then raised his hand to see if he can put it in. When he realized he could, he put his one foot inside with a smile, while looking at the threshold. After he completely walked in, he looked at Natalie, then ran to her with vampire speed. They kissed and headed to the bedroom while still kissing.
Bonnie: "How am I supposed to contact you if I don't have anything of yours, Klaus?"
She took the necklace Caroline gave her from her back pocket and looked at it in deep thoughts. Clearly, the necklace was not enough to contact Klaus. Then suddenly she started looking around, as if she noticed something.
Bonnie: "Oh my god! The house!"
She ran back to the entrance, and then stood at the middle of the entrance hall. She slowly left the necklace to the ground, then took a few steps back, closed her eyes, and started chanting a spell.
Trivia & NotesEdit
